Who are the teachers of the curriculum presented in this Designers Manual? Integral Permaculture integrates all quadrants or dimensions (internal & external, individual & collective) & that means that we draw from the work of many, many great thinkers, activists & teachers from all important disciplines for re-designing a sustainable humanity. All of these are outstanding action-learners we have a lot to learn from: they had important insights based on their practical work & they then tested out their models in the real world. You will notice many of these are not recognized as 'permaculture teachers' (even where their work does in fact profoundly inform our practice), but we think it our work as integral permaculture designers to integrate great pioneering work wherever we find it, if we are to advance permaculture science and prevent ourselves from wasting time re-inventing important wheels for our work. Click on the photos to find out more about each. They are (mostly) in simple order of appearing in the e-book, starting from Module1, PeopleCare, but note that most of these pioneers are difficult to classify (precisely because they're integral & great systems thinkers) and in most cases the module we have listed them in does not do them justice (it is just a convenient order for us to introduce these amazing teachers to our students). This page is work in progress!! There are SO many teachers already featured in this Manual, it will take some time to profile them all here with links, so thanks for your patience, please come back later!
